NAVIGATING THROUGH THE GUIDE

The Guide and this website are designed to be used in a flexible and selective way. Beginning in the Introduction, links are provided throughout to allow the reader to proceed directly to the section of the Guide that is of greatest interest or relevance and to then move back and forth to other sections to quickly find related information.

For example, as a device to assist municipal officials in assessing whether provisions of trade agreements might apply to a program or activity, Part II takes the reader through series of questions designed to address whether specific provisions in particular trade agreements might be relevant. In each of the questions, links are provided to the section in Part I of the Guide that explains those provisions. Rather than having to work through all sections of the Guide from start to finish, the reader can move directly to the subject areas and questions that need to be addressed.
