CBXFT Edmonton and its transmitter CBXFT-4 Red Deer – Technical
change
|
1. |
The Commission approves the
application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to change the
authorized contours of the transmitter CBXFT-4 Red Deer, by increasing
the average effective radiated power from 2,370 watts to 4,340 watts. |
2. |
The licensee indicated that the change is
required because it intends to replace the antenna system for the
purpose of accommodating its new English-language television service at
Red Deer. |
3. |
The Commission reminds the licensee that,
pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority
will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the
Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a
broadcasting certificate will be issued. |
