  Applications 2004-1059-8 and 2004-1060-6
Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2005-19
28 February 2005

Applications for relief from section 25 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations

1.

The Commission approves the applications by Vidéotron ltée and Videotron (Regional) Ltd. (collectively referred to as Vidéotron) to be relieved, by condition of licence, of the requirement, under section 25 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations, that they not distribute the signals of CFTU-TV Montréal (Canal Savoir) and of the "Assemblée nationale du Québec" on restricted channels, so long as the quality of the signal does not deteriorate. If the Commission finds that the quality of any of the signals has deteriorated to the extent that reception problems are evident, the licensee must immediately take the necessary corrective measures to provide an adequate signal.

2.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with these applications.
