Withdrawal of a complaint by Ethnic Channels Group Limited
concerning WMNB-TV; and cancellation of call for comments

In Call for comments on a complaint
requesting that WMNB-TV: Russian-American Broadcasting Company be
deleted from the lists of eligible satellite services,
Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2005-122,
15 December 2005 (Public Notice 2005-122),
the Commission announced that it had received a complaint by Ethnic
Channels Group Limited (ECGL), dated 14 April 2004, requesting that
the service known as WMNB-TV: Russian-American Broadcasting Company
be removed from the lists of eligible satellite services. In that
notice, the Commission requested additional information from ECGL
in support of its complaint. It also invited comments on ECGL’s complaint
and on what actions would be appropriate in the event that the Commission
found that there was merit to ECGL’s complaint. |

On 16 December 2005, the Commission
received a letter from ECGL advising the Commission that it wished to
withdraw the complaint that was the subject of the call for comments
noted above. |

Accordingly, the Commission hereby cancels
the proceeding initiated in Public Notice 2005-122. |
