In this Order, the Commission makes
interim Aliant Telecom Inc.'s rates for the services in the Other Capped
Services basket, effective 1 June 2005. |

By way of a letter dated 11 May 2005, the
Commission advised Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom) that it was
closing the file associated with Tariff Notice 158, which the company
had submitted as part of its 2005 annual price cap filing. |

In a letter dated 20 May 2005, the company
informed the Commission that it would submit its revised annual price
cap filing by 1 June 2005. |

To ensure that Aliant Telecom is able to
meet its price cap commitment over a full year, the Commission makes
interim, effective 1 June 2005, Aliant Telecom's rates for the services
in the Other Capped Services basket pending the Commission's
determination on the rate proposals that the company will file pursuant
to its letter of 20 May 2005. |
