Ottawa, 19 September 2001

Bell Canada
Tariff notices 6591 and 6591A

SmartTouch services promotion

The Commission approves, on a final basis, Bell Canada's application to offer qualifying in-store customers who are new or existing single-line residential customers who purchase a designated wireline telephone set at one of its stores, a mail-in rebate valued up to $10 to apply towards the first month's subscription of an eligible calling feature or bundle, until 31 December 2001.

Bell Canada filed the application on 1 June 2001 and amended it on 9 July 2001 to revise items 2025, 2165, 2170 and 2220 of its General Tariff.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The application was approved on an interim basis in Orders CRTC 2001-481, dated 18 June 2001 and 2001-612 dated 31 July 2001.
