Across Canada
Application No. 2001-1306-9 |
|
Application by BELL GLOBEMEDIA INC. (Bell Globemedia), on behalf
of CTV Television Inc. (CTV Television) and G and M Business News
Limited (G and M Business), general partners in Report on Business
Television general partnership (ROBTv Partnership), seeking
authority to change the ownership of the national English language
programming undertaking, ROBTv. |
|
As part of the transaction, G and M Business would be wound up
into CTV Television, resulting in the dissolution of ROBTv
Partnership. Consequently, CTV Television would become the licensee
and would operate ROBTv as a division of CTV Television. |
|
The Commission notes that this transaction would not change the
effective control of the undertaking as it will continue to be held
by Bell Globemedia. |
|
Bell Globemedia is requesting that the licence be issued to CTV
Television under the same terms and conditions as the current
licence. |
