NOTICE:

2001-48 The Commission has received the following applications:  Le réseau des sports inc., Across Canada. To amend the broadcasting licence for the national French-language specialty programming undertaking known as Le Réseau des Sports; Native Communication Inc., Long Plain Indian Reserve, Manitoba. To add an FM transmitter at Long Plain Indian Reserve to offer the programming of CINC-FM to adequately serve the population of Long Plain Indian Reserve; Burlingham Communications Inc., Hamilton/Burlington, Ontario. To increase the effective radiated power from 1,880 to 3,600 watts. Deadline for intervention:  5 June 2001

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:

2001-4-2 Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2001-4 dated 16 March 2001 relating to the Public Hearing which will be held on 22 May 2001, at the Conference Centre, Portage IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission announces the withdrawal of Item 14 from this public hearing at the request of Campbellford Area Radio Association, Campbellford, Ontario.

ORDERS:

2001-339 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request to introduce contract options for the public switched telephone network (PSTN) connectivity component of Megalink service. Reference:  TN 6577. Eff. date = 04.05.01.

2001-340 The Commission approves, on an interim basis, Bell Canada's proposed Special Facilities Tariff (SFT) filed under Tariff Notice 6559, to provide customers with OC-3 access between customer premises and the company's serving wire centres. Reference:  TN 6559.

2001-341 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request to remove the terms and conditions associated with the per-minute contribution regime which was replaced with a revenue-based contribution collection mechanism. Reference:  TN 6571. Eff. date = 01.05.01.

2001-342 The Commission approves MTS' request to withdraw Item 2730 from its General Tariff, Radiophonogram Service, as there is no demand for the service. Reference:  TN 451. Eff. date = 01.05.01.

2001-343 The Commission approves Northwestel's request to clarify its maintenance of customer-provided equipment tariffs. Reference:  TN 753. Eff. date = 01.05.01.

2001-344 The Commission approves Northwestel's request to make housekeeping changes to the toll-free carrier identification charge. Reference:  TN 754. Eff. date = 01.05.01.

2001-345 The Commission approves O.N.Telcom's request to upgrade two- and four-party line customers to single line service; introduce a provision limiting the customer portion of construction costs for the service improvement plan (SIP); and introduce an instalment payment plan for the customer cost portion of the SIP. Reference:  TN 83.

2001-346 The Commission approves Tuckersmith's request to upgrade two- and four-party line customers to single line service and remove the terminal equipment reference. Reference:  TN 16. Eff. date = 01.05.01.

2001-347 The Commission approves Northern's request to upgrade two- and four-party line customers to single line service; introduce a provision limiting the customer portion of construction costs for the service improvement plan (SIP); introduce an instalment payment plan for the customer cost portion of the SIP; make Touch-Tone part of its basic service rate; and waive all multi-element service charges when a hardwired customer requests the installation of a jack in order to be Touch-Tone capable. Reference:  TNs 143 and 143A.
