Re: Application No. 2001-0833-3– Approved
Transfer of control and shares – Shaw Communications Inc. or a
subsidiary of Shaw Communications Inc. on behalf of Peachland Cable Ltd.
(Peachland) requests authority to acquire all of the issued and
outstanding shares of Peachland, licensee of cable distribution
undertaking serving Peachland, British Columbia.
The Commission approves the above-noted application for authority to
effect a change in the effective control of Peachland. The change in
effective control will be effected through the transfer of all the issued
and outstanding shares of Peachland to Shaw Communications Inc. or a
subsidiary of Shaw Communications Inc.
The Commission notes that Shaw Communications Inc. will now exercise
control over Peachland. Unless advised otherwise, the Commission will
modify its ownership records to reflect the authorized ownership of
Peachland Cable Ltd. as shown in the attached appendix.
All letters of approval issued by the Commission are made available for
public examination at the Commission’s central office. The Commission
also requires you to append this letter to your licence.
