Order CRTC 2001-740

Ottawa, 25 September 2001

Bell Canada
Tariff notice 6610

Network planning information

1.

Bell Canada filed an application with the Commission on 23 August 2001 to revise its Access Services Tariff for Interconnection with Carriers, and Other Service Providers, items 20 and 105, respectively.

2.

Bell Canada stated that these revisions respond to an urgent request in a Part VII application that was filed with the Commission by GT Group Telecom Services Corp., on behalf of the Coalition for Better Co-location (the Coalition) dated 24 July 2001.

3.

On 4 September 2001, the Coalition filed comments urging the Commission to grant interim approval to the tariff application on an expedited basis.

4.

The Commission approves, on an interim basis, Bell Canada's application to provide remote switching, digital subscriber line access multiplexor and asymetric digital subscriber line access coverage for network planning information.
