DECISIONS:

2000-467-1 Groupe TVA inc., Les Films Rozon inc. and BCE Média Inc., (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-467 dated 24 November and 14 December 2000 approving Category 1 digital specialty service Télé Ha! Ha! by adding to the condition of licence 1b) the following television program category:  2b) Long-form documentary.

2000-468-1 Groupe TVA inc., Publications Transcontinental inc. and BCE Média Inc. (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-467 dated 24 November and 14 December 2000 approving Category 1 digital specialty service LCN Affaires by adding to the condition of licence 1b) the following television program category:  2b) Long-form documentary.

2000-469-1 Groupe TVA inc., Global Television Network Inc. and Rogers Broadcasting Limited (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-469 dated 24 November and 14 December 2000 approving Category 1 digital specialty service 13ième Rue by deleting paragraph 5 of the decision and paragraph 1.c) of the condition of licence.

2000-589-1 Groupe TVA inc. (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-589 dated 24 November and 14 December 2000 approving Category 2 digital specialty service Digipix by replacing the fourth paragraph of the decision.

2000-590-1 Groupe TVA inc. (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-590 dated 24 November and 14 December 2000 approving Category 2 digital specialty service Front Row by replacing the fifth paragraph of the decision.

2001-136 Fairchild Radio (Vancouver FM) Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia. APPROVED, by majority vote –Use of a subsidiary communications multiplex operations channel to broadcast a predominately Punjabi-language radio service.

2001-137 Burgeo Broadcasting System, Burgeo, Newfoundland. RENEWED - Broadcasting licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Burgeo, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2001.

2001-138 Radio & Télévision Communautaire Havre Saint-Pierre, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Lac Allard, etc., Quebec. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for Type A community radio programming undertaking CILE-FM Havre-Saint-Pierre and its transmitters CILE-FM-1 Lac Allard and CILE-FM-2 Rivière-au-Tonnerre, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2007. DENIED – Request to be relieved from the obligation to ensure that at least 5% of the musical selections played during each broadcasting week fall into Category 3.

2001-139 Radio Communautaire de la Rive-Sud inc., Longueuil, Quebec. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for Type B community radio programming undertaking CHAA-FM Longueuil, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2004. APPROVED – Request to decrease the minimum level of French-language vocal music that CHAA-FM must broadcast in each broadcast week from 75% to 65%; and the minimum amount of programming that CHAA-FM must devote in each broadcast week to selections from category 3 (traditional and special interest music) from 10% to 5%.

2001-140 University of Guelph Radio – Radio Gryphon, Guelph, Ontario. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for community-based campus radio programming undertaking CFRU-FM Guelph, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2004.

2001-141 N.I.B. 95.5 Cable FM Inc., Winnipeg, Manitoba. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for the instructional campus radio programming undertaking CJAE-FM Winnipeg, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2004.

2001-142 Yukon Territory. RENEWED - Broadcasting licences for the radiocommunication distribution undertakings listed in the appendix to the decision, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2001.

2001-143 Vancouver Co-operative Radio, Vancouver, British Columbia. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for Type B community radio programming undertaking CFRO-FM Vancouver, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2004. APPROVED – Request to increase the minimum amount of third-language ethnic programming which CFRO-FM airs each week and to expand the number of cultural groups to which programs are directed and the number of different languages.

NOTICE:

2001-6-1 Further to its Public Notice CRTC 2001-6 dated 11 January 2001, the Commission announces that, at the request of the applicant, Item 2, Standard Radio Inc. (CJAD and CJFM-FM), Montréal, Quebec, is withdrawn from the Public Notice.

ORDERS:

2001-169 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request to introduce Connection Service which provides eligible customers with access to its Traffic Operator Position System for the purposes of providing local operator assistance by the customers to their end-users, and providing these end-users with the option of having their operator-assisted calls completed over the customer's network. It also approves an addendum to the Agreement for the Provision of Operator Services. Reference:  TN 6556and 8340-B2-0636/01. Eff. date = 27-02-01.

2001-170 The Commission approves MTT's request to introduce Megalink ISDN DTCI Port feature, which is a combination of the existing PSTN Termination and PRI Signaling features and to remove the existing PSTN Termination and PRI Signaling features from the tariff. The Commission also approves MTT's request to introduce ISP Link Connectivity and an expansion to the Megalink Service Area and to remove Note 1 from tariff page 353. Reference:  TN 794. Eff. date = 28-02-01.

2001-171 The Commission approves Northwestel's request to offer a one-month free trial promotion for new subscriptions to Custom Calling Features, Call Management Services and/or Voice Messaging Services from 16 February 2001 to 31 January 2002. Reference:  TN 748.
