|
Licence amendment for CFGS-TV Hull
|
1. |
The Commission approves the application to amend the
broadcasting licence for the television programming undertaking
CFGS-TV Hull, by authorizing the licensee to change the transmitter
channel from 49 to 34 and to increase the effective radiated power
of its transmitter from 17,600 watts to 117,000 watts.
|
2. |
These amendments will allow CFGS-TV to add 20 kilometres to
its coverage and thereby offer its service, namely local and
regional information, to the population of distant areas such as
Thurso, Rockland, Embrun and Notre-Dame-de-la Salette. |
3. |
The licensee considers that this project meets the objectives of
service to the population and to the commercial clients and helps
the station’s profitability and adoption of new technologies. |
4. |
The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking
on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the
above-mentioned change.
|
5. |
The Commission acknowledges the intervention submitted in support
of this application.
