1. |
The Commission approves a Category 2 specialty television
service to be known as Get Safe TV. Get Safe Inc. is wholly
owned by Communitech Inc.
|
2. |
The Commission will only issue the licence, and it will only be
effective at such time as: |
|
· the Commission receives documentation
confirming that the licensee has entered into a distribution
agreement with at least one licensed distributor; and |
|
· the licensee confirms in writing that
it is ready to begin operation. This must take place no later than 9
November 2004. Any request for an extension to that deadline
requires Commission approval and must be made in writing before that
date. |

Conditions of licence
|

The licence, when issued, will expire 31 August 2008, and will be
subject to the following conditions as well as to those terms and
conditions set out in Public Notice CRTC 2000-171-1.

Nature of service
|
|
a) The licensee shall provide a national
English-language Category 2 specialty television service designed
for Canadians of all ages, offering viewers a unique blend of
safety, injury prevention and security-based programming packaged in
an informative, compelling, compassionate and entertaining format
and program schedule. |
|
b) The programming must be drawn
exclusively from the following categories, as set out in Schedule I
to the Specialty Services Regulations, 1990: 2(a), 2(b),
5(a), 5(b), 7(a), 7(c), 7(e), 7(g), 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. |

Definitions
|
|
Broadcast day shall have the same meaning as that set out in
section 2 of the Television Broadcasting Regulations, 1987.
