CBA-FM Moncton – Technical change
|
1. |
The Commission approves the
application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the licensee of
the radio programming undertaking CBH-FM Halifax,
to change the authorized contours of its transmitter CBA-FM Moncton, by
decreasing the effective radiated power from 77,000 watts to
68,000 watts and by increasing the antenna height. |
2. |
The licensee advised that it had replaced
its transmission tower near Moncton in the fall of 2005. The technical
change is necessary to maintain the same coverage area. |
3. |
The Commission notes that there will be no
significant change to the authorized contours. |
4. |
The Commission reminds the licensee that,
pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority
will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the
Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a
broadcasting certificate will be issued. |
