CRTC exempts mobile television services from regulation
Broadcasting Decisions:
2006-138 Maritime Broadcasting System Limited, Halifax, Nova Scotia. APPROVED – English-language commercial FM radio programming undertaking in Halifax to replace its AM station, CHNS. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.
The Commission revokes the licence for CHNS effective at the end of the simulcast period.
2006-139 Coopérative Radio-Halifax-Métro limitée, Halifax, Nova Scotia. APPROVED IN PART – French-language Type A community FM radio programming undertaking in Halifax. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.
Broadcasting Public Notices:
2006-47 Regulatory framework for mobile television broadcasting services
2006-48 Call for comments on a proposed exemption order for mobile television broadcasting undertakings. The Commission invites written comments on the proposed exemption order. The Commission will accept comments that it receives on or before 12 May 2006. Parties may file replies on or before 26 May 2006.
2006-49 The Commission has a received various broadcasting applications. Deadline for submission of interventions/comments: 17 May 2006.
2006-3-1 Further to its Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2006-3, dated 12 January 2006, the Commission hereby extends the deadline date for filing applications until further notice.
