Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2006-16

  Ottawa, 26 January 2006
  CHUM Limited
Across Canada
  Application 2005-1308-7

Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by CHUM Limited  for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the Category 2 specialty programming undertaking now known as Stampede, which was authorized in The Western Channel, Decision CRTC 2001-700, 16 November 2001 (Decision 2001-700).

2.

This is the applicant’s second request for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of this undertaking.

3.

The Commission extends, to 16 November 2006, the deadline by which the operation of this specialty service must commence. This is the final extension to be granted by the Commission with respect to the implementation of this service.

4.

The licence for this undertaking will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The authority granted in Decision 2001-700 will become null and void should the licensee fail to meet the new implementation deadline set out above.
  Secretary General
This decision is to be appended to the licence. It is available in alternative format upon request, and may also be examined in PDF format or in HTML at the following Internet site: http://www.crtc.gc.ca
