To: Interested Parties to Telecom Public Notice CRTC 99-6

Re: Review of Contribution Collection Mechanism and Related Issues - Procedure for Oral Comments

By letter dated 19 November 1999, the Commission announced that it will hear oral comments in the above proceeding commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 4 July 2000 in the Outaouais Room, Place du Portage, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec. The Commission invited parties who intended to present oral comments to inform the Commission to that effect. Accordingly, please find attached to this letter the list of parties who will be presenting oral comments.

The Commission reminds parties that they will be given a maximum of twenty minutes in which to present their oral comments, to be followed, if necessary, by Commission questions of clarification. The Commission also reminds parties that this oral phase is to present comments and not to present reply comments. Accordingly, parties are not to use their oral argument in order to reply to oral or written comments made or filed by other parties. Written reply comments are due on 21 July 2000.

Parties are requested to provide 25 copies of the text of their oral comments for Commissioners and Commission staff. Sufficient copies are to be available for other parties present. Parties should also note that if they wish to specifically refer members of the Panel to portions of the record during their oral comments, they are to provide 25 copies to the Hearing Coordinator prior to commencing their oral comments, and have sufficient copies available for other parties present.

Parties are reminded to file their written final comments with the Commission, with a copy to be served on all other parties, by 4 July 2000. Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date.

Yours sincerely,

Shirley Soehn
Executive Director
