The Commission has received the following applications:

1. PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan

Application (199702147) by SHAW CABLESYSTEMS (SASK) LTD., 480 - 171 West Esplanade, North Vancouver, British Columbia, V7M 3J9, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Prince Albert, by being relieved by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 19 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 which states in part that:

"A licensee shall not alter or curtail
any programming service or radiocommunication in the course of its distribution ..."
|
The licensee proposes to curtail the signal of CITV-TV Edmonton and substitute the signal of the Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN), during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon to be aired from 7:00 p.m., 31 May 1997 to 4:00 p.m., 1 June 1997.

Box 608, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, S9H 3N4, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Swift Current, by being relieved by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 19 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 which states in part that:
