Grand Rapids, Manitoba
Application No. 2001-0625-4 |
|
Application by CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION (CBC) relating
to CBWT Winnipeg. |
|
The licensee proposes to amend its licence in order to delete the
transmitter CBWHT-1 at Grand Rapids, which has been operating on
channel 15 and is no longer needed. |
|
The licensee indicates that channel 15 (CBWHT-1 Grand Rapids)
transmitter was originally used as a UHF hop since the channel 8
(CBWHT Grand Rapids) antenna could not reach Easterville and cover
the Grand Rapids area at the same time. The licensee replaced the
CBWHT transmitter and antenna system and was able to design a
pattern that could do both, thus eliminating the need for the
(CBWHT-1 Grand Rapids) UHF relay transmitter. |
