Re: PN CRTC 2001-37 - Price Cap Review: Oral Argument, and Revised
Dates for filing Written Argument and Reply Argument
On Wednesday, October 10, 2001, AT&T Canada made a motion
requesting that the Commission establish an opportunity for oral argument
at the conclusion of the oral phase of this proceeding. Several parties
indicated their support for this proposal, and no party objected.
The Commission has determined that parties will be given the
opportunity to present oral argument, commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 22
October 2001. Parties will be given no more than 20 minutes to present
their oral argument. The Commission notes that this portion of the oral
hearing is for presentation of argument, and not reply argument.
Consequently, parties must not use their oral presentation as a means of
presenting reply argument to oral or written argument already made or
submitted by other parties.
Any party wishing to present oral argument must notify the Commission
of their intention to do so in writing by noon (Ottawa time) on Wednesday,
17 October 2001 (by writing to the Secretary General at CRTC, Ottawa,
Ontario K1A 0N2; by fax at (819) 953-0795; or by e-mail at procedure@crtc.gc.ca.
The Commission has also decided to change the date currently set out in
paragraph 58 of PN 2001-37 for filing of written argument from 17 October
2001 to 22 October 2001.
Further, the Commission has decided to change the date, currently set
out in paragraph 59 of PN 2001-37 for filing of reply argument, from 26
October 2001 to 31 October 2001.
