Subject: proposed rate increases for local service

Dear Sir or Madam

As a rural telephone customer with no option but TELUS for local service we are very much opposed to any rate increase.

We already pay for our rural service at an extra $5.00 per month per line,  the lines are already in the ground, and our service is hard wire - not fibre optic.

We no longer have local repair service - we were recently without service for five days.

It seems to be different for business customers - a local business had their service cut and it was repaired overnight.

In summary we do not understand why our rate should increase.
