Subject: TELUS rate increase

The rate increase proposed by TELUS is to be used for "Service Improvement Plan." However, the quality of service for the average user will not increase. It makes no sense that a profitable corporation is asking for more money to improve its infrastructure.

I think it is unreasonable to ask existing customers to subsidise fifty percent of the cost for new customers. Either the new customers should pay their own costs entirely or TELUS should be using their profits to subsidise this. The proposed rate increase will not improve the quality of service. It is simply gouging the customer to pay the shareholder.

I urge you to reject TELUS request for a rate increase.
