I am writing to protest Aliant's request to increase rates to rural costumers above what is charged to urban costumers.  I think that rural customers should pay less as we receive less service.  Cell phone reception is often poor to nonexixtent in rural areas (where it is most needed) and high speed internet will never be offered in rural areas by this company.  Until we get the same service in rural areas as urban we should get a 'rural discount' from Aliant.
