Subject: proposed basic service rate increase

Hello

I'll keep this short.....

The world is a smaller place with technology. Some are not as exposed to it

as others. Technology spread over the masses should cause costs to fix or

decrease, not increase. A good portion of these people what the basic service

but are not in need or want fancy options (caller ID etc) If you want the

"extras" you have to pay!!

Long Distance has/is a never ending battle for lo rates, personally I

would rather have lower basic service and "pay" more for long dist.

The profits should not be based on everyone's guaranteed payment, it

should be on if you offer better services, options etc.

As things continue to expand I feel a "home phone" will be a thing of the

past and the monthly revenue will be gone. If they really want competition??

earn it don't steal it!!!!!!!!1
