I am responding to the leaflet sent by Bell referrring the hearings regarding to the Price Cap of services especially for persons with disabilities like mysellf who's on a fixed income.
I'm not going to "complain" about Bell's service to me. However, I do find it odd that BCE, the parent company of Bell Canada, bought CTV and few other companies, and couldn't or wouldn't tell Bell to stablise the fares while subsidising Bell for a period of at least few years. I'm not shy or afraid to tell you that I pay about $ 72.00 for two hands-free phones, answering service, caller ID and for insurance. But what I object to are the yearly increases of fares. Now I could go to basics that will reduce the fare and services, but since I'm connected to Internet, people wouldn't be able to leave messages or I wouldn't know who's calling me especially those annoying people who pester us sometimes either telemarketers or just ordinary people. I can have the computer programmed for receiving calls but it will cost me just the same.
With that said, I do hope there will be some price cap on some services at least.
Thank you,
Steve Dolesch
