In regards to telus's request for increase I would like the following

questions answered. Since nobody that works is getting increases of any

larger amounts I would like to know the following:

1) How much profit did Telus make last year.

2) How much is the estimated cost of providing services to these outlying

areas?

3) How much revenue would Telus take in by the increase?

4) Would I have to pay by phone line? I think this is ridiculous since I

have two lines and a fax line. I now have to pay 911 fees on every single

line and I never use the fax line for anything but faxes. I don't have a

phone hooked up to it.

5) Why do I currently pay more for my phone lines. I live on Range Road

#114, just 1 mile off the highway. I have friends who live on Range Road

#110 about 6 miles form the highway, but I pay a higher rate?

6) Why does Telus have to keep increasing their rates to make more money

when other people are just trying to make it through with their income.

7) Why does Telus not want the constraint to be in areas where competition

exists?
