Dear CRTC,

Due to the ever-increasing taxes (such as GSTax, PSTax, CRD 911 tax, and

hard of hearing tax) added to our telephone cost we object strenuously to

any other charges tacked onto our telephone charge. We are on a fixed

budget and these surprise extra charges are oppressive. For instance if

this sneaky method of generating revenue continues we will not be able to

afford a telephone to call 911 which we've already paid for. People who

live in "unserved communities" have made a choice to live there, knowing

they will be "unserved." They should pay the improvement cost through their

telephone bill. For example, when we moved into our community we were on a

septic system, sewers were installed later and we are paying these costs

now. We used to subscribe to two telephone lines; due to increased costs

we've had to cut back to one line.
