Secretary General - CRTC,
This is in regard to the TELUS Service Improvement Plan proposal to extend service to unserved communities and service upgrades for communities with lower grades of service.
I strongly object to subsidizing any portion of these proposed service level upgrades. It is getting to the point where I can barely afford to pay for the services in my own community, let alone subsidizing service for other communities.
Most people living in remote areas either choose to live there or are being paid substantially to be there. These communities enjoy a much lower cost of living (housing, property taxes, environmental taxes, etc.) while those of us who choose to live in the city pay dearly to reside here.
Please do not approve this proposal.
