Subject: Telus rate hike
I say NO to Telus for the following reasons:
1. The increase is extremely unreasonable.
2. The general customer is not responsible for improvents in rural areas etc. Why not ask the provincial government.
3. Telus has a monopoly over the local market, hence, instead of looking to cut cost and improve efficiency as any normal company would do, Telus just demands a large rate hike as a monopoly would do.
Hence, instead of spending much time reviewing this silly proposal I suggest that the CRTC should consider introducing local competition.
I also suggest that many of the "Yes" e-mail or calls may well be from Telus employees or those who would benifit directly.
