Subject: Submission Regarding Proposed Increase in Telephone Rates Specific to Nova Scotia
The Town Council for the Town of Port Hawkesbury wish to be placed on
record as strongly opposing the application of Aliant Canada to increase
the base rate for telephone service for rural customers of Nova Scotia.
We understand that their definition of rural means everything outside
the Halifax area; and, we believe that their proposal is discrimnatory.
We would ask the members of the Commission to rule against their
application.
