Subject: RE:Telus Price Cap Review comments

Dear Concerned

I am forwarding my concerns regarding Telus communications proposed increase in monthly residential service. First I feel we all have choices of where we reside. We either chose to live in the urban sprawls or the tranquillity of the country side.

First I feel we must not be penalized for where we reside, we pay more for gasoline in the country than people in large urban areas as a rule of thumb.Telus is already aware of the differences that exist between different communities . I would like to know whether they want to equalize that, as a start.

I firmly believe that Telus is fearful of competition and this is the reason Telus is trying to gouge the public on local residential phone service. It is very apparent that Telus loves to follow and does not wish to lead. If a competitor reduces rates , Telus will Follow but they refuse to commence any price decreases.

One example was the unlimited Long distance they offered to Customers only to place restrictions on it when the competition  faltered and capped the monthly toll at 800 minutes. Furthermore I signed a 3 year cell phone agreement only to see the Price increase by 2.95 a month with a increase of the monthly access fee. I feel that Telus should be prepared to absorb any increases that fall within the contract of a Customer who signs in good faith.

It is very apparent that Telus is no longer concerned about the Customer but only about the profitability of the Company. I have enjoyed watching the share price tumble of late , well before the events of September 11. They have engineered their own destiny and  I would only hope they are astute enough to see their serious lack of customer service.

In closing I would like to reiterate my strong opposition to the Service Improvement fee put forth by Telus.

Yours Truly
