Subject: Price Cap Review & Related Issues

It was interesting to find enclosed in my phone bill a pamphlet regardin SK Tel & the CRTC.  As a rural customer I can greatly appreciate the issues regarding pricing for the rural high cost areas.  Our family has been using the internet for several years now, and from the beginning we have had one major complaint.  Due to our living in a rural area, and already paying an exra $4.50/month just so we can have a phone unlike our families who live in the city or our local town has been a constant source of irritation.  After hooking up the internet we found we really it would be nice to have a dedicated line for computer or fax use only.  We inquired to SK Tel and were told the price would be $600.00+ a couple of years ago for a second phone line.  This is extremely unfair that the rural families have to pay such a exhorbant amount when the town and city people pay $30.00+ for the same service.  This is in my opinion something that has to be looked into.  I want a second phone line, and am willing to pay the usual monthly fees that go along with it, but not at an unfair hook-up price.

Thank-you
