Subject: Proposed Telus price increase

Dear CRTC:

I'm writing concerning Telus' proposed monthly price increase for home service.  A $3/month rate hike is quite significant for many families, especially when there is no escape or alternate competitor.  As well it is a huge increase in income for Telus. How many people will benefit? I suspect that in the near future much more economical means, such as satelite connections, will be available to the remote areas lacking service.  Would it not be a lot more fair to wait this out a bit longer? And how fair is it to force us to pay for those who wish to live in extreme isolation?

Thank you,
