    In joining the WTO on December 11, 2001, China made commitments in two broad areas: the liberalization of access for imported goods and services; and acceptance of the WTO's internationally negotiated agreements on the regulation and administration of international trade, including the fundamental principles of most-favoured-nation treatment and national treatment. This document summarizes the terms of accession. It is intended for the information of Canadian exporters who are interested in understanding the scope of the implications of China's WTO accession.
