INFORMATION February 18, 2000 CRTC TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING IN VANCOUVER OTTAWA-HULL - Starting Monday, February 21st, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) will hold a public hearing to consider applications for television licences in Vancouver and Victoria. The Commission will also hear applications for Multipoint Distribution Systems (MDS) radiocommunication distribution undertakings to serve British Columbia, including Vancouver and Victoria. Finally, the Commission will hear an application from Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. for a specialty channel to be called The Food Network. This hearing will start at 9:00 A.M. and will last all week at the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre, 999, Canada Place. Reference Document: Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1999-13
