Canada, Mexico and the United States share a continued commitment to enhance the security, prosperity and quality of life of all citizens within North America. We recognize that our countries can achieve greater success by working cooperatively. The Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America provides a framework for us to advance collaboration in areas as diverse as security, transportation, the environment and public health. On March 31, 2006, Prime Minister Harper and Presidents Bush and Fox reviewed progress on implementing the SPP and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing a positive agenda for the continent. For information on the Leaders' SPP renewal declaration please go to http://www.pm.gc.ca/eng/media.asp?id=1085 Today, we are pleased to release the second SPP Report. It marks the significant progress that our three countries have made under the SPP to build on our important North American partnership. |
