Introduction to the Archives and Manuscripts Division

The Archives and Manuscripts Division (formerly Centre for Newfoundland Studies Archives) is located in L1006 on Level 1 of the Queen Elizabeth II Library. The archives holds an extensive collection of original manuscripts, personal papers, diaries, scrapbooks, photographs and other such materials which document various aspects of Newfoundland society. Major collections include literary, labour, theatre and the performing arts, women, post-Confederation Newfoundland politics and social organizations and activities. Patrons should contact the archives to inquire about regulations governing access and use of the materials and hours of operation.

Contact the Division at (709) 737-4349 or via e-mail at cnsarch@mun.ca.
