MissionThe PSLRB’s Compensation Analysis and Research Services (CARS) division supports the collective bargaining and compensation determination processes in the Public Service of Canada and contributes to the promotion of harmonious labour-management relations by:
In the fulfillment of our mission, we will strive to be recognized as an authoritative and comprehensive source of information on compensation-related matters by all the parties involved in collective bargaining in the federal public service. We will keep in touch with our clients, our stakeholders and our partners to ensure the relevance of all our programs and activities.
We have a responsibility to keep our finger on the pulse of the compensation field and related developments and to keep the parties to bargaining and Canadians informed.
Accuracy, integrity, timeliness, confidentiality, objectivity and impartiality are among the values which guide the ongoing activities of the CARS team.
Current ActivitiesCARS is currently in the process of establishing the framework for its survey activities including the review of other existing compensation survey tools and methodologies as well as initial and ongoing consultations with the parties under the PSLRA and representatives of provincial governments and other partners. We are also developing our internal survey and research capacity which involves the development of administrative and contracting procedures along with the recruitment of key personnel. |
