Mission

The Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) team is dedicated to providing impartial third party assistance to the parties in resolving disputes between them to their mutual satisfaction.

We accomplish this goal through professional conciliation, mediation, examination, investigation and training services.

We shall achieve this goal by:

  • Promoting co-operation among the parties;

  • Providing timely services;

  • Consulting with the parties to improve our services;

  • Providing a quality service by ensuring a high level of impartiality, credibility and respect in all of our dealings;

  • Ensuring the use of innovative approaches to resolve disputes.

In fulfilling our mission, the DRS team believes in the following values:

  • Every client is entitled to a service that is respectful and timely;

  • Every client shall be treated fairly, with sensitivity, discretion and courtesy.

Please note that the mandate of PSLRB for the provision of mediation services is defined in Section 15 of the Public Service Labour Relations Act.
