PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Order Repealing Certain Exclusion Approval Orders

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to subsection 20(3) of the Public Service Employment Act (see footnote a), hereby approves the revocations made by the Public Service Commission, which take effect the day on which section 12 of the Public Service Modernization Act (see footnote b), chapter 22 of the Statutes of Canada, 2003, comes into force, of the exclusions approved in the following Orders:

(a) Acting Customs Excise Enforcement Officers Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote c);

(b) Certain Non-Canadian Citizens Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote d);

(c) Certain Term Employees Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote e);

(d) Executive Category Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote f);

(e) Federal Labour Intensive Projects Exclusion of Persons Approval Order (see footnote g);

(f) Department of Veterans Affairs Official Languages Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote h);

(g) Appointment of Women to Coast Guard Officer Cadet Positions Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote i);

(h) Regulatory Enforcement (RE) GROUP Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote j);

(i) Appointment and Deployment to Rotational Positions of Employees of the Department of External Affairs and the Canada Employment and Immigration Commission Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote k);

(j) Appointment of Alternates Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote l);

(k) Management Trainee Program Exclusion Approval Order (see footnote m);

(l) Order in Council P.C. 1997-1050 of July 25, 1997 (see footnote n);

(m) Order in Council P.C. 1999-531 of March 25, 1999 (see footnote o); and

(n) Order in Council P.C. 2002-639 of April 18, 2002 (see footnote p).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The purpose of the Order is to approve the revocation of certain exclusions that are outdated and no longer in use or that will no longer be necessary on the day on which the new Public Service Employment Act comes into force.
