Appeals and InvestigationsThe Public Service Commission (PSC), through the Investigations Branch, provides independent recourse processes in support of the merit principle in order to protect the public interest and to promote through effective intervention and education, the application of merit, fairness, equity and transparency. What's New AppealsThis section assists you in understanding your rights and responsibilities when filing an appeal, pursuant to the provisions of section 21 of the Public Service Employment Act. The Act grants you the right to file an appeal against an appointment from within the Public Service in the following two cases:
InvestigationsThis section explains the procedure for referring a complaint to the Public Service Commission regarding staffing matters (other than appeals) and describes how the complaint will be handled. Dispute ResolutionThis section describes various processes that are available to help resolve disputes informally and which can be requested for appeals and complaints. DecisionsThis section lists, by subject matter index and/or by party, summaries of decisions by Appeal Boards, some Appeal Board decisions (full text) and some Federal Court and Supreme Court decisions that are relevant to appeals and investigations cases.
