AFTER YOU APPLY

Changes to Your Application - Any type of change may be made to an application prior to the closing date for the advertised process. After the closing date, only the contact information may be changed (i.e., mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number). The last change made to the application is the one that will remain in the system.

Changes may be made through your My Jobs account. Select View My Jobs File from the My Jobs Menu. Select Retrieve for the job opportunity that you wish to modify. Your application will automatically move to the Job Opportunity(ies) in Progress section while you are making changes.

Once you have made the necessary changes to your application, you must select the Submit Application option to return your application to the Job Opportunity(ies) Submitted section.

If you do not re-submit the application, it will not be considered for this advertised process..

• The system electronically screens applicants against the pre-determined minimum requirements, as noted on the job advertisement.
• RPL program representatives will conduct an additional manual screening of the applications that have met the minimum requirements.
• Only those applicants who qualify in the partially-assessed pool will be contacted.

Note that your application has been successfully submitted only when you have completed the Declaration section of the application process and have "agreed" that all the information is true and complete.

If you are called for an interview, reference checks may be conducted. Be prepared to provide at least two references who know your work and who may be contacted in confidence. You may also be asked to provide additional information such as a résumé or transcripts.

Candidates invited for a second round of interviews in Ottawa will have their travel costs covered by the RPL program.

You may check the status of your application at any time by accessing the My Jobs Menu section, and then selecting Application Status. Results will be posted as soon as they are available.
