News from the PSCImproving the way we test second language proficiencySince 2003-2004, there have been increasing concerns about the PSC's second language evaluation tests, in particular, the French oral interaction test (OI Test). Over the past year, the PSC has made significant efforts to improve the administration of this test. Realigning our Resources for the new PSEAThe Public Service Modernization Act and the new Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) have redefined the Public Service Commission's (PSC) role and how we will provide services. To get ready for the implementation of the new PSEA, which is expected in December 2005, we have been strengthening our oversight responsibilities and consolidating our service operations.
