College Admission Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission to college programs, you must hold at least an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or the equivalent, or be a mature student (at least 19 years of age on or before the date of enrolment).

Beyond this basic requirement, colleges may identify additional entrance requirements for specific programs. Admission requirements vary from program to program, and applicants are advised to consult course calendars of the college they plan to attend. Calendars may be obtained from secondary school guidance offices, from the college's registrar, or through the college's website.

When the number of students eligible for a program exceeds the number of places available, qualified applicants will be admitted in the following order of preference: permanent residents of Ontario, permanent residents of other Canadian provinces or territories, and international students. Colleges may also identify selection criteria to establish the final program eligibility of applicants. Please consult the college calendar for information on the criteria.
