Essential Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in microbiology or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Asset Qualifications:
Masters degree.

Experience

Essential Qualifications:
Experience in virology and molecular biology related to virus research.
Experience in viral and molecular techniques, including genetic analysis, molecular cloning, DNA sequencing, molecular amplification and analysis of gene expression.
Experience in software applications, such as word processing, databases, statistics, graphics.

Asset Qualifications:
Experience with protein expression systems.
Experience with serological assays.

  • Operational Requirements:
    Willingness to work overtime.
    Willingness to travel.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Secret security clearance
    Medical clearance

Challenge

Diagnostic and validation services and products for internal and external stakeholders.
Research results and information for own work unit to be used for the preparation of scientific publications and presentations and the evaluation and validation of new tests and products.
