English Essential or Bilingual Imperative BBC/BBC.

Occupational Certification

Registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice. Candidates must be registered in the province of practice prior to appointment.

Must have a valid CPR certificate.

  • Conditions of Employment:
    Reliability Status Security Clearance.
    Medical Clearance through Health Canada.
    Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
  • Asset Qualifications:
    Graduation with a degree in nursing from a recognized university.
    Completion of a post-basic certification in an area of clinical specialty, for example mental health, palliative care, critical care.
    Experience working in a medical surgical setting.
    Experience working in a correctional environment.
    Experience in MS Office (i.e Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    Experience in infectious diseases.
    Experience in geriatric or palliative care.
    Experience in addiction.
    Experience in Mental Health.
    Experience in maternal/child and/or women’s health.
    Dialysis training/certification.
    Experience in the delivery of health promotion/health education programs.
    Experience in critical care or emergency care.
  • Operational Requirements:
    Shift work including weekends and nights.
