Successful completion of two years of secondary school education according to provincial standards, or approved alternatives.

Experience

Recent experience* is required in EACH of the following areas:
. Experience in providing service to the public in a high volume, demanding office environment.
. Experience working with personal computers in a Windows environment.
. Experience in performing clerical/ administrative office duties.

Other Merit Criteria and Conditions of Employment

  • The following merit criteria may be required for this position. Applicants should indicate in their application if they meet the merit criteria.
    • Experience preparing bulk mail shipments and working with Canada Post Electronic Shipping Tools software.
  • CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    • Willingness to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours (compressed work schedule or rotational late shift).

Challenge

Produces passports and ensures quality control thoughout the production process. Prepares out-going mail for the office. Enters data. Maintains daily statistics on the usage of passport labels and blanks. Releases completed passports and related documentation to the authorized recipient. Provides passport-related information to the public.

  • Reference checks will be sought.
  • A role play may be administered.
  • A practical test may be administered.
  • If contacted for assessment, you must provide proof of education at that time.
  • A passmark must be achieved in each qualification.
  • Top-down selection may be used if required.
