Weapons Technician
Department Name: Department of National Defence Who Can Apply:Persons residing or employed in Borden, Trenton, Kingston or Petawawa , ON, and within a 125 kilometre radius of Borden, ON, and a 50 kilometre radius of Trenton, Kingston and Petawawa. CitizenshipPreference will be given to Canadian citizens. Language ProficiencyApplicants must demonstrate in their application that they meet the following merit criteria to be retained for further consideration. English essential EducationSuccessful completion of secondary school education or Public Service Commission (PSC) approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience). ExperienceExperience in operating, inspecting, modifying, accident investigations and repair of small arms. Experience in operating, inspecting, modifying, armament equipment including Coyote/LAV III turret and weapons systems, hydraulic equipment, high security containers and ancillary equipment. Experience in the complete inspection of ordnance related to the military weapons technician occupation, at a minimum of journeyman level. Experience in operating a personal computer.
