Essential Qualifications:
Successful completion of a post-secondary program with specialization in business administration, commerce, public administration, accounting OR another specialty relevant to the position.

Asset Qualifications:
Degree in business administration.

Experience

Experience in advising, consulting or negotiating with First Nations.
Experience with administration of government programs.
Experience in managing financial resources & administering social programs.

    Willingness & ability to travel to remote communities, sometimes under adverse weather and road conditions.

Applicants who meet the above criteria will also be assessed against the Statement of Merit Criteria for this position.

Challenge

Initiates policy changes based on First Nation governments, organizations and program input.
Participates in multi-functional committees to develop approaches for departmental responses to First Nation issues, proposals, submissions and presentations.
Develops regional generic agreements.
Recommends and monitors cash flows based on the need for agreements and authorities.
Negotiates multi-year/multi-departmental financial transfer agreements with First Nations.
