Education

Useful Information

Secondary school diploma and successful completion of a technical or trade program from a recognized college, or provincial licensing obtained in a field related to the position (certificate of qualification).

Experience

Experience in operating, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment (particularly with computer room equipment such as Liebert, Hi Ross, chillers, dry coolers, cooling towers and associated pumps and controls) or experience in operating and maintaining electrical power generating systems, transfer switches and operation (particularly with turbine units).

Experience in working with electrical systems, circuits and test equipment or experience in operating and maintaining Exide series 3000 UPS systems, battery backup and troubleshooting or similar equipment.

Other Merit Criteria and Conditions of Employment

  • OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
    You must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    You must be willing to work alone on a 12 hour rotational shift work.
    Top Secret Security Clearance. This factor is not used at the preselection stage. The Department is responsible for the security clearance process.
